Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers whose cars hibernate for the winter,

You might have heard with disappointment that Punxsutawney Phil predicted on Groundhog day another 6 weeks of Winter.

Apparently these 3 plum trees not too far from my house never got that memo:

This poor things are going to be pummeled by the rainstorms we are expecting this coming week, so the flowers won't last long.  It is a hopeful sign that no matter how rough this Winter has been, Spring will surely come.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. It has been a rough Winter even here in California.  If you look just to the right of the white plum tree, you'll see about 4 feet of of a small birch tree trunk.  The rest of the tree had snapped off!

So that's what grass looks like? Have not seen any in awhile, but this year is definitely strange. It went from warm in January back to miserable cold last week. It looks like the upper peninsula in Michigan may have some sort of economy this year. We are getting a lot of snowmobile traffic that has not been there in a couple years. This global warming looks like it may take a couple hundred more years to decipher. Thanks for the "nice weather" pic,Dan
