Summer project New Barn
« on: October 06, 2016, 08:07:51 AM »
Well it has finally come that I needed to get rid of the old and build a new Barn( Brian will back me up on this one).  Hate to see my old barn go but it has served it time well. it is in need of more repairs than it is worth.  Not many barns left that are still held together with mortis and tendons and wood pegs.  New Barn is almost complete and I will be glad when it is because it is taking all my time, but boy will it be nice.

The main section is 30 by 72 with 12 foot walls. This is Divided into a work area and storage.  the short section is 16 by 30 with 8 foot walls(paint booth).  Maybe once this is done I can get some of my cars done, or my sons' cars.

Wow!  That is an awesome workshop!
You should post a picture of your old barn for comparison.

Is the separate bay on the right built especially for the 65 GS?

Sort of.  It will be for what I am not working at the moment but am driving so for now it will house the 69 GS convert.

thanks everyone been looking forward to this for 18 years.  Ever since we bought our house.

I am hoping to be moving into it by the end of October.

You have enough height in that building that you can put in a couple of lifts and double stack the cars!

more Pictures.  Did get to use the Paint booth over Christmas to do some repair work on a 93 Wrangler for my son.  It needed some sheet metal work and some paint work.  It was nice to be able to paint when it was 10 degrees outside.
