Loren , if the vinyl is correct i.d be good for one .
As far as the core goes , does it matter how bad of shape its in ? I have 2 but would like to send in the worst one as my original is driver quality . It.s not like its bent or anything but the vinyl is really bad .
John,
What is needed as a core is a good solid metal. That is the base for the pad. I have a good pad that will be used as a pattern to make a mold for the replacement foam.
Maybe I need to clarify the process.
Dash Pad Pros [DPP] will strip the pad of the old vinyl and foam, then apply new foam, followed by new correct grain vinyl. If you need a pad other then in black color, then there is an additional $25 charge.
The end product would result in a pad identical to an original.
Unlike another option, the original foam is not used. This results in a soft pad like it was in 1965.
Hope this helps,
Loren
