engine adapter plates ?

Refinished my engine adapter plates and noticed there the same part number except one has a B 1 and the other has a B 2 on it .
is there a left and right ?  they both look identical .

Most likely a casting revision? They are also date coded c10

I looked at a set from my '66 and it also has one with a '1' and a '2' on the other. Each will fit either side.
It might ID what mold was used?

Saw a pic on the AACA site today of a plate that looked much different. Note the rips in the center area! Maybe an early version?
