Thats the most common damage on a 65 front. Pull the grille out, loosening the bumper brackets to do so.
Then using any number of ways to pull the center back out while it's on the car. It should pull back pretty easily.
The center bar will need to be welded where the crack is and ground down to the "peak" shape on the center.
