Guys. I bought this quite a while ago for a "SOMEDAY" project. Someday is not gunna happen as My 99 Dodge Ram needs $4500+ worth of ECM, Lift Pump and injector pump servicing..etc.
Its time for this motor ta go:
1965 Gran Sport Riviera LX motor was pulled from a 90,000 mile wreck by a friend in Naples. Only 454 65 Rivieras were sold with this 2x4 GS package! 360 HP at 4400 rpm and 465 ft #s torque at 2800 rpm!
This motor has been sitting 'in wait' covered in my shop for at least 18 years and prolly more.
This is an ALL ORIGINAL 425 MOTOR... here's what I mean:
CARBS: front: 3645 SB CM4
rear: 3925 SA AB4
ALL original linkages, kickdown switchpitch switch, throttle linkage & Fuel lines
Original 2x4 air cleaner with acorn nut and Hastings air filter
DISTRIBUTOR: 1111058 L 28
HEADS: 1196914
INTAKE: 1370316B M 4
Factory A/C components INCLUDING rear bracket correct FOR FACTORY RIBBED valve covers
Original heater control valve intact
I beleive it is the original alternator too.

The insides of this O-2-COOL Nailhead motor have never seen the light of day.

I am posting this here only because I know you guys and for certain thumbiddy will spot it on eBay and wonder WHY I didnt tell you guys first... so heed this post. It is going on EBAY in the next dayer two as a complete, 1965 LX code 425 2x4 motor.
O and in case thumbiddy really wants to know, $6400 includes a custom built secure crate for shipping. Shipping NOT included.
I can hear it now...'GOSH WHEELZ, THATS A LOTTA MONEY' ..and yup, you are right, it is. But I've seen just the 2x4 air cleaners sell for $1500. Intakes and carbs sell for $1800- 2500! Valve covers and brackets and TRY TO FIND A CORRECT 1111058 distributor, right? and correct A/C brackets, factroy correct ribbed BUICK valve covers and fuel filter & bracket, original starter and all fuel lines & connectors and this and that...
I honestly feel thumbiddy will buy this because it is soo complete.
