Another old guy but new to the forum
« on: March 03, 2016, 08:25:22 PM »
Hey all figured it's time to introduce myself and also to figure out how to get around in the forum.
Rick r from Indiana. A transplant from out west but been here for about 15 years and dont see a clear path back to Colorado anytime soon text  :drunken_smilie:
Been a mechanic most of my life but don't do much anymore. Bought my red skylark Dec 2014 and finally got it running well and looking decent. Just finished the interior, new trans, posi unit in the 12 Bolt olds rear, and new carb, radiator, and bits and pieces.
Glad to be a member here, and would appreciate it if anybody had leads on where to find the plastic bathtub retainers that hold the trim on the quarter panels. They seem as elusive as good taillight housings! :)
Thanks for reading

Welcome Rick!

I know which trim mounts you are asking about. They are hard to come by.

It's amazing that I haven't found any in my stash. Maybe there are some on the parts car I will be picking up next week.  :dontknow:

Like Chuck said " Pictures? ".

Next in line for the taillight housings if they are in really good condition.  Can you post some pictures, or do you prefer a PM?

Welcome Rick,
I think I know which fasteners you are talking about, but I could not find too many. If no one can locate some decent ones I will post a pic of what you are looking for with dimensions to try to find replacements. Dan
