New to the forum, but old to Buick's!
« on: February 18, 2016, 02:52:32 PM »
What's up fellow Buick-heads? I've been into old Buick's my whole life and last week picked up my most recent addition!

'65 Skylark with tilt, ac, buckets, console, ps, pb and pw! The car came with a rebuilt 340 longblock that I'm currently doing the final assembly on. The st300 was long gone, but the seller included a good used BOP th350 that'll do the trick. The interior is nearly perfect, pretty sure some of it has been redone. The body has ZERO cancer and minimal surface rust with no signs of collision damage and only a handful minor dings. It appears to be original paint! This thing is easily the nicest and most original car I've ever owned and I'm absolutely in love with it! The worst thing about it are the unfortunate choice of wheels and the halfassed stereo "installation". Oh, and the trunk was full of old, new and nos part as well. I've always loved these cars and have always wanted a 60's car with buckets/console. Never figured I'd get em both at the same time! And I got a screaming deal on this thing, which makes it that much sweeter  :occasion14:

I'm looking forward to learning more about these Skylark's from you guys! Thanks for having me

If you find another hardtop with a body like that let me know!  :rocker:Also looks to be tinted glass, remote mirror, wide trim ,wheel well trim, convenient group car too! You're going to need a different radio plate in the dash pod as it has been hacked up! :crybaby2: Very nice car to build and enjoy you will love driving it to!

Haha, not a problem! Out of curiosity, what exactly was included in the Convenience Group package on these cars?

Yep, still trying to figure out the most painless way to fix the dash... I'm really excited about this car and can't wait to drive it! The motor is going in later this week. Getting close :)

Bob, the convenient group consists of dash clock, night and day mirror, trunk light from the factory. These also could be bought in kits and installed separately!
