Steering Mast Levers
« on: January 20, 2016, 03:38:30 PM »
Looking for new turn signal and tilt wheel levers.  I've found parts for a 65 Chevelle at Trim Parts.  GM Restoration parts, with reference to OEM numbers 3783459 (TS) and 3832567 (tilt).  Can someone with a parts book confirm these numbers, please?

Thanks,

Chuck

These look to be correct to me. Reasonable price, but black is the only color they have.

The ones Dan posted will fit and function fine, but be aware the plastic knob on the end is larger and looks slightly different than what was used in the Buicks.  I have been down this road before.  Ended up swapping the knobs off of some buick turn signal levers from standard columns I had laying around.   I will warn you--getting originals off and onto the new metal levers is very difficult to do without destroying them!  Use a heat gun to warm them up, then you can slowly work them off by hand.

I used these on our resto. As Brian states, they are not exact but very close. Only this brethren would notice . They come in black only. I painted mine using adhesion promoter and matching acrylic lacquer. Came out great. On ours, there are a bit more threads and a few stick out, but again nothing most would notice.

Just suspend the plastic knobs in boiling water by the shafts & they will, for the most part, slide right off.
