GS Junction Block
« on: June 03, 2008, 04:05:43 PM »
I'm looking for the battery cable junction block that bolts to the left inner fender.
Can't seem to find one of these anywhere. A good used one would be great.
Let me know......thanks!

I did find a very nice used junction from Mr. Wild Bill Burton. I tried to find any type of junction
that could be used as a replacement and came up pretty empty handed. Evidently they may
have been used on some earlier full-size Buicks and/or Pontiac GTO.
Now I just need to get the top cover and two bolts/1 nut replated.   ;D

If anyone could come up with a scource, that would be huge. The body of the junction block is
Bakelite, so they tend to crack or break very easily. I know - the original one from my car came out
in two pieces, so I just chucked it in the trash. I could have glued it back togther.
You live and learn.

How bad do you want one?
There is one on eBay right now. With a few days to go, it's already up to $96!
There are non-original replacements available. But they are often $50+ as well.
I'll track down some replacement part numbers and see what is out there.

This would be a nice item to have reproduced.

Walt,

I picked up a spare this week from Loren, in case of inop/or failure. I'd like to see parts numbers of what may be available that is not original equipment. You might try this guy:

The GM part number is 391924.
I heard this guy had a new one, but never followed up according to my notes:
