The meeting will take place in Maple Plain, MN. This is the pre show get together for the Gopher State Spring Extravaganza
put on by the Gopher State Buick Chapter of the BCA. The show is at the MN State Fairgrounds on May 1.

It would be really great to see you again.

After all you were there in the very beginning and willing to travel really long distance.

Your newer wheels would raise a lot of eye browse the next day with Canadian plates at the Extravaganza.

For those of you new to the Extravaganza it is always the first Sunday in May at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds and is open to all the older cars. With good weather we have gotten upwards of a 1000 cars and it is the first major show here. I will be posting additional information as it gets closer to show day. Combined with the 65 GS get together on Saturday it makes for a great motor head get together for everyone. Reviews of previous 65GS get to gethers here are available in the event section.

Hi All,

  It seemed a natural progression to combine a 65 Gran Sport Division meeting and what had become an annual 65 GS gathering.
As Milton stated, the Extravaganza is always held the first Sunday of May and hosted by the local BCA Chapter. Weather permitting, it is a great kickoff to the car show season.

I figured it would be OK with most. 

This event is going on my 2016 list.

For those not in the know, the Legendary Lime color is a throwback to Mustang's Lime Gold color used in 67 and 68. Less than 2% of 05's and early 06's were painted this color. Depending on what you believe, my car could become part of the newer collectibles.

Oh I still want a 65 GS convert one day too. Just need that darn money tree to sprout some Benjamin's.

I'd love to join you guys, but I doubt the restoration will be complete by then.  Of course, I could drive Steve's red convertible.  I'll have to ponder that.  Not sure it's ready for an extended road trip.  That has the potential to be very revealing and exciting! 

Guess I also need to join!  Got to put that on my To Do list!

So everyone knows, it is not necessary to drive your GS to the show or meeting. In the past the weather has been, shall we say, spotty. The idea is just to get together and have a good time.
