Wiper Hose Routing
« on: September 06, 2015, 02:31:41 PM »
To 1965 Buick Skylark GS Folks,
I've got a lot of help off this website.  I'm (slowly) restoring my wife's 65 GS. I had no problem mounting the Wiper Nozzles onto the Cowl Vent Grille.  My problem is how do you rout the wiper hose; are those two wiper hoses routed under the Cowl Vent Grille or on top??  I found a few original routing clips.  Also anyone know where the best place for washer pump?  thanks, Richard

Hi Richard,

The pump is attached to the wiper motor.
There are two hoses routed on top of the cowl vent ,from the pump ,and is held in place with special clips.  A single larger diameter hose comes from the washer solvent tank to supply the pump and is routed in the depression of the inner fender on the driver side.

I'm sure pictures would help,

Dear Richard, Loren, Dan, and mid-60s Buick fans,

Thanks Richard for asking and thanks Loren and Dan for answering.  :hello2:  I have the tank and the nozzles and someday I'll get around to connecting the two.  Knowing this thread exists will save me some searching!

Cheers, Edouard
