Fair price to pay for 3921 65 GS auto carb, core, that needs rebuilt. My 65 needs the carb rebuilt and has the wrong number carb. I am starting to look for one and wonder what is a fair price for a core, thanks Bill.

It's a common carb, used on 65 GS automatics and also on the big series Buicks.
Should be able to find one for $25-50. It's worth waiting or paying a bit more for a real nice one.

I have two of them I want to sell.  Both are missing the plastic choke coil/cup and the metal plate behind it though (both had been converted to manual choke cover at some point).  Trying to find those parts first and was going to post them for sale here.  I was planning to rebuild them before selling them, but would sell as-is.  One is in alot better as-is condition than the other, so I would want $100 for it (it came off a running engine), and the other I would want $60 for as-is.  Once I find the choke parts and rebuild them, the price will go up.

Guys, thanks for the reply's. I went down to the shop and looked at all my AFBs and guess what have 2 3921S carbs. Did not remember I had them. One is nice and only missing the choke. Other is not so nice, butterfly's stuck. One as C5 below the number and the other has G4. are these the build dates?. Thanks Bill.

Good news Bill. Yes, those are build date codes. Month / Year. March 1965 and July 1964.
