Dear fans of mid-60s Buicks,

I suppose all of us scour eBay listings so this may be old news, but just in case.  Fusick has been discounting modestly their windshield washer tank reproductions on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400911524638?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l4456&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI400911524638.N8.S1.M790.R1.TR2

Fucisk normally charges $55 from their regular catalog so even with shipping you'll save a few bucks.  I bought one thinking I would squirrel it away for a "someday" project.  When I looked at how little space there was, I installed the tank even if I have no idea when and/or if I'll have complete the washer setup!!

It is no fire sale, but if you want one of these, you probably won't get a better deal that this.  I got a white tank.  They show both the white (1965) and black (1964) styles.  If it matters to you, send them an message before hand to see which style is next up to be auctioned.

FYI . . . .

Cheers, Edouard

Interesting they say that 64 came with the black ones.  My 64 still had the original on it when I bought it from the original owner over 20 years ago and it is the translucent one.  It was built late in the 64 model year (June I think), so that may have something to do with it.

I've seen both used on '64s. Also understand that Oldsmobile used the black.  :dontknow:

Dear Loren, Rollaround, Brian, and mid-60s Buick fans of clean windshields . . .

Thanks for posting this, it is a good price and an excellent product.

Golly I thought this would be old news so I almost didn't post it all.  They have been on sale for while.  The only reason I even remembered was because I had a watch on these and eBay sent me a reminder!

Yes, they look very well made.  Fusick made a puzzling comment in their catalog that they were unlikely to ever make another run of these tanks.  However, I'm not sure if that refers to all the tanks or just the black ones.

Cheers, Edouard

Thanks Edouard!  I have one "in stock" from Fusick for my 4-speed restoration car.  One of the few things that I'm told doesn't work in the Steve Shuman GS is the washer tank has a crack and leaks.  I'll fix that; just ordered one.

Cheers!
