WOW!! I had no idea these were so valuable. Got one in my parts stash as well

I also have an NOS AC fan switch stashed somewhere that I acquired years ago. Wonder what that might be worth.  :dontknow:

What is neat about these old switches is. They are all hard contacts. They can be taken apart and cleaned and reassembled and work just fine as long as nothing is broken in them. The wiper switch is the same way. The biggest problem I have seen with them is the 50 year old grease hardens up and creates high resistance to the ground from the dash.

I have tried to fix one a long time ago.  I agree that the hard grease is a problem and have seen a couple switches melt the connector.

My 65GS AC blower switch seems non-functional.  Well, nothing happens that's for sure.  When I apply +B directly to the blower it works fine.  Are the fan switches usually the culprit?  I searched the forums for tips on how to remove the switch but did not see anything but maybe I just didn't look in the right places.  I just got my 65GS a month ago.  New upholstery on order....waiting.... and it's colder in illinois would be great if the heat worked.

It is very common for the switch to go bad. There is a high electrical load through this switch. I have even seen the red power supply wire with melted insulation.
The switch for a car with AC is different then the switch for a car without AC. They look similar, but are internally different.
