Factory Buick nailhead experimental 2X4 intake on E bay

Hey guys anyone ever seen or heard of this manifold before ?
I love this kind of stuff if it's really legit . As long as my 65gs isn't numbers matching hmmm :idea1:

Very cool! There are a few out there.
This one is priced just crazy!
EELCO will be making some more of their aluminum 2x4 intakes. It's based on the old Edelbrock and is a good design. Expect price to be in the $400 range.

One key thing to check--not sure if the carb spacing is the same on the x-code intake as the standard cast iron intakes.  If so, the factory 2-4s air cleaner will not fit.

There is a thread on V8Buick from a few years ago.... this particular manifold was owned by Marty. (Marty World)
X-1174982-MP was described as having stock carb spacing but is 7/8" taller than stock. (EDIT:Carb spacing is greater than the stock dual quad intake; 8 1/2" versus 8")

WOW !   Walt that was some Kool reading ( info ) . Some of the stories that go with these rare parts is very interesting .
Almost makes me want to bid on the one on E bay ( almost )
