Dear Welder and mid-60s fans,

Plenty of firewood up on the porch.

Lots of spots in the country are getting blasted by arctic air.  I'm in coastal Northern California and it got within 1/2 a degree of freezing this morning.  It is supposed to freeze tomorrow morning.  This is the coldest spell we've had in all of 2014.

Cheers, Edouard
