Thanks Jim. I messed up the KR, hopefully it will look better as she begins to rust.

Agree with Bill, you are doing a great job and that 'pivot ball' is a thing of beauty. Please share how you made it.

Everyone stay tuned on the pivot ball. I bought a box of 20 1" steel balls. I needed one, but had to buy 3 lb worth for the minimum order. Will be drilling all of them on my lathe and putting them up for sale. I made the one I needed already and it turned out perfect.

My buddy had the flat stock CNC'd here locally for the correct rectangular cut and angle. The shaft is a one inch diameter piece of bar stock that was pressed and welded into the flat stock and the ball is just as Brian describes which was milled.
He made all of the measurements with a micrometer. He is scheduled for cardiac bypass in early Feb but says he has enough stock to make around 10 of them. I know Brian has the ability to make these from scratch also, I don't think there's much he can't fabricate. I'll post here when I have more available.

Brian, no rush, based on the weather it will be a month or two before I get to where I will need one, thanks Bill.
