Wind lace
« on: December 31, 2013, 08:02:41 AM »
Where can I find the color correct wind lace for a metallic red interior?
Did buy the "red" wind lace set from YearOne but it is fire truck red not
the darker red the original ones have (of course the old ones are faded and
stained but they must have been a different red than this when new).

I used a vinyl dye from The Parts Place; Metallic Red Interior Vinyl Dye (M08) PT3007Z. It's a great match to the original door panels and wind lace. I used it to dye a set of original black armrest pads to metallic red. Took a few coats but looks great. I also did a light overspray on the door panels to freshen them up like new.
