Wanted: 64-67 Skylark/Special/GS bumper jack retaining spring

Looking for a 64-67 Skylark/Special/GS bumper jack retaining spring. Group 8.820 #1189126. It's the spring that keeps the jack snug in the trunk.

Dan,

Check your local hardware store. Sometimes they have large, long springs that are very close to the original. Of course there always the salvage yard route.

Yep, it is just a standard screen door spring.  Got mine at Lowe's.  I still had the original from my car, but was rusty, so the new one looks much better in the car.

Hi guys:

I picked up a spring from Lowes. 

What is the correct color?

Also, can someone please post a picture of it mounted in the trunk? I've seen the drawing from the parts diagrams, but would like to see it mounted in "real life."  Thanks.
