is this radiator worth keep for the tanks, or send to the junk pile?

If it has been fixed a few times already maybe recycle it. They are worth something as scrap. Maybe the tanks are worth keeping but there are some pretty nice radiators being produced today that are probably better.

I'd keep it for the tanks and the tag.  In fact, I don't have a tag on mine and wish I did just to be complete and accurate with my restoration.  That's just me.  For sheer performance without a care for accuracy or originality, there are other options with probably better performance and value. 

Too bad you're in California.  If closer, I'd be tempted to make an offer to get the tag I need.

Yes.  I've never seen one, but I think that's a date code tag.

There might also be a part number tag on some radiators.  I'm just aware of a "tag" and not sure what it should say or represent.  There was a thread last year about the tags, but it didn't drum up any additional info.

Chuck, it has surface rust and would need to be media blasted. Message me your address and you can have it. (I assume it will come right off in one piece) You get to do the research.
