Title: possible GS trans - decoding help needed

Found this trans this past weekend and once again asking if we have ever determined what the GS cast in the tailshaft really means?  The guy who is selling it said it was a 1973 based on the cast in date codes in the case and tailshaft and was from a Chevy.  The input shaft has two rings and is coarse spline as it should be.   If anyone can help decode or otherwise figure out what this beast is please chime in.  I may still buy it as a spare if the guts look good. 

What are the stock 4 speed gear ratios for the 65 GS?

Looks like a trans that someone put together using parts from different ones. The case is defintely a newer one based on the date on the side.  GS gear set will have 3 rings on the input shaft, not two.  What is the date cast in the passenger side of the tail housing?

The tailshaft date matches the case date, that's what is puzzling.  We have suspected that the GS cast in is only coincidental to our 65/66 GS transmissions, convenient perhaps but not definining an exact trans?  Someone, somewhere knows the answer.  I'll try to post more pics tonight.  Thanks
