I have just been poking around the site trying to figure out who has done all the work to make this site possible. I know I really appreciate 65GS.COM because of the specific focus, and I am also a supporter of V8buick.com because of the large number of members and all the accumulated knowledge available there. I think we are very fortunate to have sites that give us a place to ask questions, share knowledge, and just chat about our hobby. So can someone lead me to the information about the structure and administration of this site?
And thank you to whoever you are!

Kurt,
Your "kudos" should be given to Chris Horn. This website was his vision and his hard work that made this website possible. Chris is truly a scholar and a gentleman. I am fortunate to call him one of my best friends. If any of you have the chance to meet him, you'll agree that you'll never meet a nicer person. I admire him for his energy, honesty, intelligence and of course, his dedication to bringing us all together.
Here's to Chris :occasion14:

Chris - thanks for what you've done to make this happen.
John, kudos also to you for keeping it going as administrator. Not a trivial job. :hello2:

Thanks for the responses. What about the others that have "administrator" listed with their info in each post?

Kudos to all the admins on this site, keeping this going for us all.

Kurt,
When Chris was setting up the website, it was decided to have a small number of administrators to help monitor the website and to help with any information that would be useful to other members of the website. Those that have "administrator" associated with their name have been around '65 Buick GSs a long time and have resources and factory literature to assist with any questions. I believe that all of the administrators have restored or parted out a number of '65 GSs. There's no substitute for experience.
However, there are others on the website which are also very qualified to help provide information, but are not administrators. Also, one of an administrators responsibility is to delete any smut that pops up every now and then. :angel4:
BTW, Chris is the only one who finances this website. He does it purely for love of the hobby. We all are fortunate to have him at the helm. All administrators are unpaid volunteers who also share that same passion.

Hi John,
Thanks for the great and complete response to my question. I really appreciate this site and hope it continues to grow and be a resource for 65 Skylark GS lovers. It is great that people are willing to donate their time to to create and maintain this site for all of us to use.
So I say Thank You to Chris and all administrators, you are appreciated!
Regards, Kurt

Thanks guys... I really do appreciate your support and I also would like to thank the Admins who make my job much easier. :icon_thumright:
I had to take a break from things to focus on some work and family items however I do have plans of continuing the vision for the site and finishing some sections that I started years ago. I didn't do anything other than create a fancy interface and organize the collective thoughts and information from you guys and those who are no longer with us (Steve Shuman is at the top of that list).
This site has always been about the hobby and the members. I see many examples of you guys continuing this spirit and there are many threads based on the sharing of information, parts and support which is exactly the way it should be. The "web" has allowed us to make the world a little smaller place and it's always awesome to see guys get together who might have never met one another without the site.
My hope is that anything we build here today is carried on by the next generation so that our beloved Buicks remain recognized for a very long time. :headbang:
Thanks,
Chris
