Hi Guys:
What is the correct appearance for the tail light nut covers (that cover the studs in the trunk)? Is it charcoal grey zinc phosphate plating?

Thanks.

I just took some nice nuts off original taillights and I would say they are clear zinc phosphate. I could take pictures if you need, assuming those are the parts you are talking about.

Thanks, Kurt.
Anyone else want to chime in and confirm?
Thanks

Dan,
If I had to guess, I'd say a straight cad plating. I couldn't really tell on the ones I had, and had them done grey phos. because cad platers are getting hard to come by.

I just sent 36 out to get silver cad plated. Thanks for all the replies.

If anyone has an extra set of these I would be interested in buying them. Nither my car nor any of the parts cars I took apart still had any of these in them.
-
Are there covers for the nuts, or are you discussing the nuts themselves? I don't remember any covers on the nuts.
-
Kurt,
These.

Interesting, only Buick would go to that much trouble and expense. :icon_biggrin:

isn't that why it is easier to restore anything else?
Buicks and there owners are a special breed.
