Did they use the french locks on the GS manifolds like the big cars?

Ted,

All three of my '65 Skylark GSs had the french locks on the exhaust manifold bolts.

1966 was the transition year to the lock-washer bolt.
CARS repos the french locks in stainless.

I put the stainless french locks on my GS.  I think I got them from OPGI (they probably got them from CARS).  They fit and look perfect, but there was one issue that was a pain. Being stainless, the back of the bolt heads would gaude up the stainless when the bolts got close to being tight, then it would start twisting up the lock and distort it.   Be sure to put some anti-seize on the face of the lock where the bolts contact or you will have a very aggrevating time installing them.  Stainless looks great and lasts forever, but it does have its drawbacks.

I have an order in with CARS for the F.L.'s.  Thanks for the tip on installation!
