I picked up an unusual car two weeks ago. 1965 Skylark 2 door post with factory 4 speed. Has bucket seats, no console. All of the factory 4 speed parts were still on the car, shifter too. It sat in a wrecking yard for who knows how long - 30 years maybe? Maybe more. There is little left to save.
These parts someone might need:
right side door and quarter stainless - very decent
aluminum window trim - all savable, but I don't know how it comes off
misc. window trim
plastic dash surround
side glass - no left quarter window though
All the sheetmetal is junk. It does have a 300 2 bbl, and had oil and antifreeze in it.
Probably ok, the hood was closed and had an air cleaner on.
All of the 4 speed stuff and rear end is sold. I will post some pics this week.

Mark,
I am in need of good exterior window trim. What shape is it?
Interior color and condition of door panels?

Hi Loren!
Do you mean the side window trim, or front and back glass? The side window trim all looks good.
I don't know how to remove it though, need some help there.
The front & back glass stainless is 75 percent good. A few pieces have been ruined, and one is missing.
It was originally Verde Green with black interior. The door panels are not pretty. One quarter window
was out all this time outside, so you can imagine. The buckets are salvageable, the rest is pretty nasty.

Mark,
I need the side trim for the quarter windows and doors. They are real hard to remove. Maybe Jon T. could give us some direction in the best way to remove it. I know the quarter window pieces are on with clips.
Maybe some pics of the interior door panels? Can you also get pics of the seats? I'm trying to confirm the pattern of the old covers I have for doing the seats in these two. Is there any of the package tray left? I think it was just a flat piece. :dontknow:

Loren,
I'll take a look at the FSM and see if there's anything helpful there on removal of that trim.
I'm willing to sawzall/cut the door frames, etc. to get these off the car and to Ames for you.
I can take pics of the door panels, but they are shot and have round speaker holes chopped
into them. The buckets and back seat were reupholstered at some point. They are a dark blue color.
The car was repainted beige after the green, then a medium blue. It has a sweet old Cal Custom
blue metalflake steering wheel.
Everything in the back is shot. The package tray is pieces of dust, but I'll try to identify what type it is.

Loren,
If you need pictures of interior pieces my post car has a very nice original red interior. Be glad to get you whatever you need.

Dan, Mark,
Just got back from KC, we had to assemble an airplane interior for a customer.
Dan, I think pics would help with a scale beside the areas for dimensions.
Mark, that sounds like a plan. Interested in the metal trim pieces at the tops and on them . Always on the look for possible better parts. Also think I may be short one set of the top trim pieces for the interior panels.
Thanks guys,
Loren
