Title: 1965 Buick GS Convertible-Rare
Post by: glideride on June 01, 2010, 11:36:39 AM
I have for sale a 1965 Buick GS Convertible.  It has factory air conditioning, 401 Nailhead engine with the original 350 turbo automatic transmission.  The front and rear bumbers, as well as, the grill are all included and we just replaced all 4 tires.  This is a great buy for someone looking for a nice project car, and it is a rare package.  I am selling it for $3,500.  Please give me a call if you are interested: (417) 209-4468.  I will provide photos and information to anyone who inquires.  Thanks!

Just for your info, the car did not come with a 350 trans but a ST300. So if it is a 350 then it is not original.

There was never a Turbo 350 trans made to fit a 401 nailhead.  In fact, the nailhead went out of production several years before the Turbo 350 trans was introduced.  If it truly has a Turbo 350 in it, then it has some kind of adaptor plate to mate it up tos to a Buick Nailhead.
If it has a 300 engine (which is not a nailhead), then it could have a Turbo 350 in it out of a newer Buick that someone swapped in.

I sure wish you were closer!!
Shipping from Missouri to the Washington coast would bring the price probably somewhere north of $5,000.
Still may be a very worth while project at that price but I'm dumping my money into my house.  $3500 would be worth trying to figure out, but $5,000.....
Maybe next year I'll be able to look at spending that kind of money again on a car.

Sorry guys brought it home today! :icon_biggrin:It's got a 73 350 and th350 for the drivetrain, real solid car, but still needs some work in the rear quarters, hand made patch panels that are kinda rought and the trunk drops are rusted out. between the 2 verts I have now should be able to make 1 good one.

It's always good to see these cars stay in the "family" and trade amongst the members here.
