'64 would be the same also. I don't know if other GM would interchange.

Kinda curious about the wheel well trim. See it on some pics and not on others. Was this an option for one and not another or just a personal preference?

every thing I have been able to find , it was an option (W5) which was wheel well chrome trim. It was avail. on all 3 GS's.

Here is a link to a different area of this site http://65gs.com/GS_Gallery2/displayimage.php?album=22&pos=75 that shows the optional trim items.

Amazing all the information Chris has been able to assemble on this site thanks to the many members.

The rear wheel well trim is the same as the 2dr. on all of the '64 and '65 4-drs and wagons as well as the front.

Is there a source for this trim?  My driver's side rear has a crimp in it, only visible when you look close, but I'd like to replace it.  I've never seen any online, or in any of the magazines.

Keith,

No one is currently reproducing those wheel well trim pieces. However, those wheel well trim moldings are stainless steel. They can easily be  straighten or have dents fixed and then polished to look like new. Ask around for someone locally. Or maybe someone here can recommend a shop that does stainless steel repair.

Keith,

Send me an e-mail and I'll put you in touch with the guy who did the trim work on my car and Rob Keena's car.
All the stainless he did for me turned out like new - better than new really.
