Hi Guys,
I'm having trouble finding a vendor who can supply an ignition switch and key for my Skylark.
Can anyone suggest where I might find one, or does anyone have a good one for sale?
The one I stripped out of my car is not original and was modified to fit so I'd rather not use it.
Regards

You're going to have to find a good used unit or an NOS one. Several of both on eBay. Search by part # 1116663.

Thanks Dan, I was getting the feeling it wouldn't be easy.

Hi Markus,
I believe I have an NOS ignition switch that is available. I will check it out this week after returning home.
Cheers!

If Chuck has the ignition switch, you will still need the lock cylinder. Here is an eBay link that has all the lock cylinders.

It is not 100% correct for '65 because the ignition switch key is only for the ignition. That was correct starting in '66, I believe. In '65, the octagon key was used for the door and ignition and the pear shaped key was used for the trunk and glove box.

I was trying to remember what year they went to different style keys. If you could make a correct ignition switch and key you may get lucky and find a real locksmith to make your trunk and doors match. As stated hex key for ignition and round for trunk and doors and glove box. I was thinking they used that style right up to 1969 when they put key in the column
