And forgive me, but it's not a Buick.
1969 AMC AMX. 390 V8, Power steering, Power front disc brakes, 3.91 Posi, Tremec TKX 5-speed overdrive transmission, leather interior.
AMC Group 19 performance parts: Edelbrock high rise dual plane aluminum intake manifold, Holley 600 CFM carburetor, Trendsetter side pipes, stainless chin spoiler.
Rotisserie restored about 25 years ago and in amazing shape considering the age of the restoration. 17,000 miles since full engine restoration and runs very well!
Hoping for some dry weather soon so I can drive it a bit more before winter sets in. We'll see....
:cheers2:

Very nice! I've always liked the AMX's and Javelins. There's a silver AMX locally that always catches my eye at area shows.
There was a 390 4 spd car advertised a few dozen years ago, kinda wish I'd gone after that one.

Thanks Walt. I grew up in an American Motors family. Learned to drive in a 1964 Rambler Ambassador. College car was a 1964 Rambler American. First new car was a 1972 Gremlin X with 304 V8, 3-speed, posi. Really enjoyed it until work and family made it impractical. Had a big "Jones" for an AMX when in college but couldn't afford it. Scratching that itch now!

Dear Chuck, Walt, and mid-60s caregivers with broad tastes in automotive caregiving,
1969 AMC AMX. 390 V8, Power steering, Power front disc brakes, 3.91 Posi, Tremec TKX 5-speed overdrive transmission, leather interior.
Congratulations on your new acquisition! The car is in great condition. It is quite a prize!
Thanks Walt. I grew up in an American Motors family.
. . . .
I've told the story before, but my Dad had planned on buying a used Rambler wagon when we returned from Dad's European assignment. "Bad luck" for Dad, Mom and Dad stumbled on a seafoam green 1965 Buick Special station wagon. It was more than Dad wanted to pay and had higher mileage than he was looking for but . . . . . . . . Mom really liked the car . . . . . . . .
As they say, . . . . . The rest is history! :laughing7:

Congratulations Chuck. Looks like a real neat ride, and for an older restoration it was kept in pristine condition.
