Title: Motor mounts
Post by: JimL65 on August 24, 2024, 12:14:18 PM
Just discovered that I have a broken motor mount on the driver’s side. Anyone have one in they’re parts stash?

Steele Rubber used to revulcanize them. I do not know if this is a service that is still offered.
Correction, I just looked up their website and they still offer the revulcanization.

And the Buick Farm did repo these. However, I don't see them on their website at the moment. Would be worth contacting them as to availability, the cost was less than what it would be to revulcanize them.
The owner Doug is also board member.

Thanks guys I did contact Doug at the Buick farm, he told me he’s been sold out of those for about a year. Also suggested Steele Rubber. I’ll call them tomorrow.

Jim,

I found one. Appears in good shape except could use cleaning of some surface rust. Don't know if you want new ones, but you can have this one if you want it. Just let me know.

Hi Jim, I do believe I purchased a new set of mounts from Doug at the BCA national meet in PA. I just checked my parts locker here, but I don't see the box. They are probably at my other garage. I will go there tomorrow and check for you.

Loren,
Both Tony and Chuck helped me out with my motor mount problem and neither would accept payment for they're help. So I am making a donation to 65gs.com. The members of this website have helped me countless times with my restoration with your knowledge, advice, parts, etc. You guys are the best!!
I'll will be sending my old mounts to Steele Rubber to be redone. Hopefully in the future I can help somebody else out!
