Long time member, but I think first post, as I finally own a 65 a-body gran sport (have two 65 Rivs). Just picked this up Saturday along with a 64 Wildcat and a bunch of 64/65 parts as a package deal. Haven't had a chance to really go over it yet. Just finished unloading the parts!.

Dear cjp69, John, and mid-60s Buick caregivers,
Congratulations cjp69 on your acquisition! It is wonderful that you found a ragtop and the car looks in great condition.
Enjoy!

Oh, my, that is lovely....

Thanks guys. Car looks better in pics than in person, has been sitting for a few years. Hopefully a few weekends and a liberal application of elbow grease will get it looking better. Here is the trim tag, nicely optioned car!

Jim, The cars were only about 2 hours away, so a buddy and I left the shop at 6 am and made two trips, and were done and the cars and an engine and trans unloaded 5. Came back to the shop the next day to make space for everything and unload the rest of the parts.

You know I would have too! I did use her to transport my 65 Riv Gran Sport from Indiana in Feb. It was picked up in less than a week and here 4 days later!

Interior needed some lovin'! Gave it a quick wash and started in on the interior.

Not perfect, but a lot better. Runs and drives nice as well.
-
Wow! That cleaned up very nicely! Good job!

My painter is starting CPR on the really old lacquer paint, trying to do a quickie polish to breathe a little life back into it. I told him my budget is for"hours", not "days", lol. :>)

I don't have the skills or the checkbook for a complete resto. Kudos to you for taking one on! Some before and after pics.
