I recently received some new armrests and chrome bases from OPG that were listed for a 65GS. They were 11 inches long and my old convertible (front) arm rests are 14" long. Apparently the convertible arm rests are different than the others. I am looking for a decent set of replacement bases and black arm rests. Anybody have a 14" set they'd like to sell or know where to go for new product? OPG says they don't have the correct size and CARS also said they don't have the 14 inch models.
Any help appreciated.

If i'm not mistaken the hardtop & conv. bases are the same. The biggest prob. I have is where to get the chrome redone..
I may have an extra pair of used one. will check tomorrow.

Check out www.mrgusa.com they offer plastic re-chroming. Just need to send them your old ones. Show quality stuff, real nice.

The convertible and hardtop cars had the same 14" arm rests and bases. The shorter ones go on the 4-dr. sedan and 2-dr. sedan cars. The shorter ones are also made completely different--pad sits on top instead of screwing to the side of the base.

There were plans to reproduce the 14" pads. See Dan's post here:

All of the 64, 65, 66 and 67 Skylark and GS 2dr. HT and convertibles use them as well as the 66 and 67 Special Deluxe 2dr. HT and convertibles.
In addition, the front armrests in the 66 and 67 4 dr. HT Skylarks use them (they also fit the rear doors, but the rears are supposed to have an ash-tray mounted in them).
The 2 door post (sedan) models and the 4dr. sedan models all use a different style armrest all together.
I am not familiar enough with the Skylark sportwagons to know which type of armrest they use. Ted--are you out there?!

spoke with mrgusa Their prices for re-chroming were very reasonable. They quoted me (if I understood them correctly) about $35 to re-chrome two bases. In fact it sounded like they had some re-chromed examples in stock and would just send those to me if i sent mine down. As always, thanks for the help. Rob K

Received my re-chromed plastic armrest bases today from mrgusa.com. They look brand new. When i sent mine down they were gray and white and brown in color. They are now a very fine uniform chrome color. This is a good vendor.

What color pads do you need? I have some extras.

Al, thanks for the inquiry. I have one black one that is correct and i have a brownish/olive one that I planned to have dyed. The olive one has a small split that i also need to have repaired. I would definitely be in the market for a black one in nice shape although I think the olvie one will work ok as the split is very small and on the underside.
