The metallic "Power Brakes" band on my brake pedal has broken, does anybody make repos of these? The clip that goes around the back of the pedal broke off, and I guess I could glue it to the pedal, but if there are replacements, I'd rather go that path.
Thanks,
Keith

Keith,
Of all the '65's I've had, none had the pad with the metal on it. I'm not sure that is totally correct from a restoration point.
Anyone else?

My hardtop that I bought from the original owner has that metal band that says "POWER BRAKE". However, the silver convertible which also has power brakes, does not have that metal band. Both GSs were built in Fremont. Both cars were "unmolested" to the best of my knowledge. I was wondering what that's all about. Anybody else want to chime in.

Whats's the part number on that? I cant make it out in the photo.
My early build conv doesnt have one either, but I'd sure like to get one..Does the numnber cross over to any other lines or models?
Thanks, Rhett

That's the part I'm looking for, the end snapped on mine. Willing to part with it? If so, how much?

Looked it up in a 1974 edition parts book:
Group 4.630
Pn 1363998
Fits 64-65 Special-Skylark AT-PB
No other applications listed for that number.
It's not listed at all in the 1966 (only) parts book. It's reasonable to say the trim wasn't used after 1965.
