My apologies for not keeping up on this as well as other events, it's been a trying year for many of us, myself, included.

Is anyone here attending? Is next years location announced yet?
-
I'm not attending, but next year's venue will be Strongsville, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. July 10-13.

I definitely plan to attend next year.

Yes, I am going. My oncologist is letting me have a week off from chemo. Yippie! I was planning to take the GS when I sent in my registration, but my treatment schedule caused a change in plans.
The dates of the 2024 BCA national meet in Strongsville, Ohio (Cleveland suburb) are July 10-13, 2024.

I'm glad Loren that you are getting a break from your chemo treatments so that you can attend. It will be another kind of good medicine!
Cheers, Edouard

Last but not least. My favorite, belonging to a friend of mine. It has been six years in the making.
A '65 Gran Sport sedan. This is a triple black car with PS, PB,AC, Power windows, Power driver seat, tilt column, automatic transmission and convenience package. It is a beautiful restoration.

More pictures of That gorgeous Gran Sport.

That's a beautiful restoration. Congrats to Gary!!
-
Apologies for some of the group shots but I was getting a bit tired. It was in the mid 80's and no shade to speak of. :BangHead:

Thanks Loren for all the wonderful pictures!
I especially appreciate the wagon!
Be careful about the heat though. I'm surprised that Spokane isn't under at least an excessive heat watch. It is supposed to be hotter up there than here in the San Francisco East Bay and we are under an excessive heat warning - which the even more serious.
I hope the meet turns out to be very good medicine for you Loren!

Great pics Loren, thank you! Can we see a pic of the cowl tag on that black 65?

Thanks for the picts Loren . That black GS is a beauty , I also love that 59 .
-
Loren, Thanks for posting those photos.. I like that early 60s gold Riviera, that's traveling in style.

Great pics Loren, thanks. That yellow 66 GS convertible used to belong to a friend of mine, high level car judged at the BCA in Rochester. He offered it to me, I should have bought it. It is a high option car too. Looks like it still looks nice!

Great pics Loren! It was great meeting you in the heat of Spokane, hope you stayed cool!

Yes, it does still look very nice. I wasn't able to catch up to the present owner for you Jim.

That black sedan has to be the highest optioned post car out there. Has anybody else got one with all the power accessories and a/c? I have never seen one with power windows.....Extremely nice and rare car.
-
Hi Schlepcar. The Seafoam 65 GS on the opening page to this website Is a fully loaded, AC, PW,PB,PS and maybe tilt too. And he upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes. Bob moved to Florida several years ago and the GS is with him.

It was certainly a pleasure to meet you also. I did manage to survive the heat. There was a definite lack of shade and the asphalt added to it being uncomfortable. Even so, the meet turned out well with a better number of cars than expected. I was dismayed by the small swapper turn out.

Thanks to all for the compliments on the pictures. I need to go through my phone pics and see if there are any that I haven't posted.
We stopped at Carhenge on the way home. I have wanted to see it for quite some time. Interesting and unique.

Tony,
I have never seen the cover car....I know it looks extremely nice. That Black car just seems like a real oddball being a two door post with all the power accessories is not something I have seen before. It looks weird seeing the plain jane door panels with the switches mounted that way. Even the remote mirror option looks like a different position on the door panels. You rarely see a well optioned 65 GS and never see a well optioned post car. Dan

Thanks Loren,

Here is the picture of the cowl tag.
As we can see, it is a Fremont assembly plant car and the tag doesn't tell us much.

Only 121 post cars gs and skylark were built with power windows!
So a very rare and high option post! We parted a gold 4 speed, rear defogger,
Power window post car some years back! Thought they would be rare but at the time didn’t know production numbers!
-
I have never seen one..the build date makes it likely one of the oldest in existence. Very cool to see the original panels with the options ordered that way. Parting out that 4-speed post car with power windows might be a crime in the big city.....lol. That would definitely be the rarest of the rare in 65.
