Title: plastic dash surround color

Were all the plastic dash surrounds black or are they color coordinated with the interior ?

Colored.

I have 2 dark blue  vinyl and one dark blue (aqua) plastic surrounds for '64 (no pad) style surrounds.

(one in my car and one vinyl and one plastic as "spares")

My '64 Special I had back in the 70's had a vinyl black surround. The car was black exterior and black and white interior.

 For '65 Skylark, Gran Sport and Sportwagon models, the plastic piece that surrounds the instrument and radio clusters are color coordinated to the interior color. Same thing with the full length dash pad for these models.
