From research I've done, it appears my car has 1966 aluminum finned valve covers installed (due to having the smog pump detent). I am working to get it back to factory. As I have the Chrome Air Cleaner, would prefer matching valve covers. So here is what I am looking for:
1. Chrome Covers or
2. Steel Covers to be chromed or
3. The correct 1965 Aluminum Finned Covers
Thanks for any help, Folks!

How nice a set are you looking for? I have some and so does Dan A.

I have these and two used sets. Would rather sell the used ones. Dan might still have a nice set.

I have a set of steel ones too but not sure if they are 65 or 66. Would sell them for $25.

Thanks, Guys. Looking for a show quality set. Jim, do you have pics of your used ones. Those new ones you have are gorgeous. That pic makes them look like they are anodized and chrome. Are the chrome ones stamped the same as the steel ones. If I had steel ones chromed would that be a deduction? Thank, again.

Thanks Jimbo! That set is the nicest I have ever seen too. Here are the used ones I could sell. I would call them drive quality with some rust spots showing. I have not tried cleaning with steel wool or anything so there may be some potential to improve the condition of this set.

Jimbo,
The chrome valve covers shouldn't be a deduction , but may be considered incorrect if they are used by them selves. There was a dealer available " Engine dress up kit " available from Buick. It consisted of not only the chrome valve covers, but also a chrome air cleaner base. The original air cleaner lid was re-used with the chrome base. Also in the kit were chrome bolts for the valve covers, plug wire stands , wiring harness clips and chrome breather cap.

Thanks, Loren. I have the Chrome Air Cleaner Base and refinishing the lid to install Wildcat plate. Guess now I'll to chase down the other pieces. Any suggestions on where to find?

Sounds like you are getting it in hand.
The plug wire stands are available from Centerville Auto in Grass Valley, CA. They are reproductions made of stainless steel.
The bolts for the valve covers are available on eBay from a seller that goes by "bestoffercounts" . They are not 100% correct because the bolts don't have the markings on the top. The original painted bolts have the correct markings.
The chrome breather cap is available from CARS.
As for the clips for the engine harness that runs down the passenger side valve cover, I haven't seen reproductions and originals are far and few.

Oh, by the way. The lid should be black and have the Wildcat 445 emblem. The dress up kit re-used the original painted lid.
