I'm in the middle of a frame off and plan to do a transmission swap (2 speed auto to early 80's BW Super t-10 manual). Am I able to use the same driveshaft, or will I need a new?
I know there was a difference in the original auto and manual driveshafts, but is it necessary to change?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Original stick drive shafts where solid one piece, auto where two pieces with a rubber damper built in!
I would try and find a solid driveshaft or have one balanced and made!

If it is an aluminum trans I think you will find that the Borg Warner has a 400 turbo style yoke that the old driveshaft cups will not mate with. It is fairly unique because they used the internal clips on the u joint rather than the external that we are used to seeing on the 65 driveshaft. If it is a 400 larger spline I may have an older yoke that accepts the external clips.

If you need to have a drive shaft made, contact Bob Guzman.
I have had several made by him and his workmanship and professionalism cannot be overstated.
