Title: Heater control valve ?
Post by: 35chevcoupe on April 20, 2019, 09:04:11 AM
Hey 65GS Dual quad guys , I'm looking for engine photos of some cars with dual quads Without A/C for the heater control and heater hose routing layout . Are the heater control valves the same for A/C verses NON A/C ?
I was just looking at Chucks ( BEAUTIFUL ) under hood pictures and was wondering if the NON a/c cars use the same heater control valve layout ?
Any help would be appreciated . Thanks

1964, non-AC and no heater control valve. (it is not correct for GS style routing)

I used 'vette formed hoses.

I could have routed them across the right inner fender well, but I don't like the look.

Hey John,

There is no heater control valve on non-AC cars.  So the heater hose routing should be the same as on a single quad GS.  I've attached pictures of my Steve Shuman car that I changed hoses on a couple of years ago.  If I had it to do over, I'd use the same Corvette hoses I used on the Verde Howitzer, but route them the same.  And I'd use the correct front and rear heater hose positioning brackets as well.

I hope others have more original cars and information to share.
