Title: Nice car - more should be treated like that! (Re: 1965 GS for sale Ct.)

Dear Robert and 65GS.com community,

Happy New year!

A smidge premature but I'll definitely agree - Happy New Year!  :hello2:

I found this while searching through craigslist.
. . . . .

Definitely a beautiful car!  I specially liked the next to last point on the description: "ADULT OWNED"

Hmm, judging from the condition on all sorts of cars built in 2018 or older - there doesn't seem to be quite as many "adults" on Earth as we have been led to believe! (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/Laughing_LOL.gif)

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

I just logged on and took a look at the GS that Robert V posted, It's the same GS as mine, White with Red interior and a Black top. I just notified my friend Steve in Mass. He is looking for a turn key 65 GS convertible. This might be the one for him. Hope he goes and takes a look. If i get any info i will post it..

I can't get past the driver rear quarter at the current price. I spoke with Kevin and a few others about these rear quarter lines. They are not available as replacements and John E. is the only one who posted pics on how difficult they are to duplicate. This looks like a very clean and "correct" car so it may deserve a little more attention to detail as far as finishing touches. I wish mine was a red interior car because that is one of my favorite combos.

Dan you have a very sharp eye, the eye of a true artisan. I did not see that on my first look.

In some pictures the lower body line is hard to see, sometimes an indicator of Bondo. In other pictures it?s visible but maybe the angle is wrong. Either way check it over for past bodywork, hard to tell in pictures only. Mario, do you still have your white GS convertible too?

Definitely NOT a deal-breaker on a numbers matching clean car....just pointing out what it appears to be. It is possibly an optical illusion from the shadows, but even if there were repairs it is not impossible to fix or overlook. The car has obviously had many hours/dollars put into it and presents very well.

Take a refrigerator magnet, a thin one like a rock auto one!
They are better than any bondo or paint thickness checker any day!
They will fall off or not sick good even if there is extra paint!
And never buy on of these cars unless you check the frame fully ! I had a absolutely rust free
Accident free gs but the frame was cracked in four places! One spot 3/4 of the
Way through ! And take a friend they might see something you over look! If you can drive
It have them fellow you to see if car goes straight down the road! Good luck and let’s hope it is the right car for you! :rocker:

No is sold it, as i got into it, the radiator support was twisted up and a lot of hidden issues.  I had a guy offer me what i paid for it so i started looking again.  I looked at this car with a few buddies, going back to look it over one more time and hopefully bring it home.
