hello my name is brad grant i live in western illinois, i am finally getting around to finish restoring my 65 gs 4speed convertible, which i bought about 35 years ago! prior to finding the convertible i had a black over white thin pillar post automatic which i restored and drove until the convertible came along and needing money, had to sell the hardtop. what a great web site and hopefully will help in finding near correct t-10 since my car had a muncie 20 in it . i also own a 70 red/ white/ blue amc rebel machine but that is another story. my true love is the buick.

Welcome Brad! You've joined a group that truly shares your love for the 65GS. This is the place to ask questions, swap parts and post pictures. We love pictures and would be grateful to see your Buick project car and your AMC. My first new car was a 1972 Gremlin X, so I have a soft spot for the AMC classics as well.
As you start your restoration, I'd encourage you to start a thread in the Restoration section so that we can all follow along and answer questions along the way.
Welcome aboard!
:cheers2:

Hi Brad,
I have a close ratio T10, but I went with a wide ratio T10 in my car and was going to keep this other, but figure if I have any issues with the one installed, I'll just pull it and rebuild it.
I can try and get out of storage this weekend and get pics and numbers, spline and input shaft ring marks.
I also have the fully enclosed bell housing for the GS that I am not using.
Not sure what else you might need but let me know and if I have any of it, I can get you the information on that as well.
If you have a Fastenal nearby, and a ZIP, I can check with the Fastenal here and get a WAG on shipping.
Or, if you are by any chance going to the Grand Nats in Bowling Green, I can bring things if we make a deal.
:)

I thought I was the only 65 GS guy in Minnesota until I found this site several years ago.
Was I ever wrong.
Glad you found us.

Welcome Brad to our 65 GS support group. Yep, pictures we like em! AMC built some impressive scooters, the AMX is still one of my all time favorites.
