Post by: dlmwtvl on August 06, 2018, 12:40:46 PM
I am looking for a 65 GS, with A/C, radiator cover, and fan shroud. Fan too, if possible.

David,

The fan and fan clutch are the same as full size car. Fairly easy to find the fan and the clutch is available new from many sources.

Going off of memory, but wasn't there 2 different radiator top plates  (one was for HD cooling)???

Yes there are 2 different top plates..... The insulator is longer on the GS version to fit the thicker radiator.

Correct, but wasn't there 2 different GS-specific top plates?  I need to consult my parts book.

all 65-66 GS cars got the wider top cover because the radiator tanks were much larger than the skylark/special standard cooling tanks. A/C and A/C prep cars got a fan shroud instead of just a finger guard.

I was wrong :)

Group 1.270. There are only 2 1965 A body radiator top covers: 225/300 crossflow and 400/401.

The 1967 GS was slightly different, an indentation in one corner for rad hose clearance, and the insulator had the nipples in the flat top portion instead of in the sloped ends.
