Title: Shelter Island N.Y.
Post by: Robert V on July 04, 2018, 09:42:10 AM
Hello,

Just wanted to post a nice photo that was taken on Shelter Island a few days ago.
My sister in law snapped this picture from the hotel balcony as I drove into the parking lot.

I like it because it reminds me of a Buick Ad from the 60's.
Happy July 4th to everyone.
Regards,Robert

Cool ! If the back of the mini van wasn't in the picture you would swear it was 1965! If you have ever watched a photo shoot for say a magazine add it is amazing how much time they take setting up the perfect shots! :headbang:
Title: Great shot! Suitable for digital aging! (Re: Shelter Island N.Y.)

Dear Robert, Jon, and caregivers of photogenic mid-60s Buicks,

Great shot! Thanks for sharing!  :icon_thumright:

Well, you can't fault Robert's sister for not thinking about avoiding the minivan.  However, it could be easily removed with a bit of cropping.  If anyone has the time, this would be a neat starting point for a digitally aged photo from the 1960s.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
