Title: New to the GS world
Post by: jsboots on June 27, 2018, 10:15:18 PM
Hello everyone, my name is Joe Boots from Indiana. I snagged a 65 GS a year ago and am finally getting it to a running state. Have already learned a lot about these cars and am very excited to have mine on the road. The car is a thin pillar coupe with a switch pitch transmission. It has 44,000 original miles and still has the California license plate on it from 1990. Car was in a garage when I found it and the engine and trans were pulled, and on a pallet in another garage 30 miles apart from the car. Numbers all match. It?s had a paint job, and some body work, but hasn?t been restored. As a 24 year old, it?s in better shape than I?d be at 53 years old. I need to add some pictures. I look forward to learning from you all, and hearing stories of good times in old cars.
        Thanks Joe

Welcome Joe,

Your GS sounds like a great find.
Don't be afraid to ask questions, as many of us have "been there , done that "and learned a great deal from those experiences . Take advantage of the knowledge base here at 65GS.com. We are happy to share it.

Looking forward to seeing more posts from you,

  Loren
