I need to purchase a new quarter window for my 65 Skylark. Some vendors picture the quarter window with holes that the rollers attach to and some show the quarter window that fits in the frame. Are they interchangable? Also I need new rollers for one side that has the frame. What is the best source for them?

Hi EZ,
I am not sure what the window is that has holes in it. I bought my glass from ebay with the green tint. Although it does not have the date marking, it does match well. It is the type that you use a rubber 'tape' and then slide the bottom of the window into the bracket. there is no other fasteners. It is a tricky process.
The rollers you can get from just about any classic car parts company. I would believe that they are manufactured by the same people. Nylon roller, and the rivet slides through the hole in the bracket. You then flare the back of it to keep it is place. The metal is soft and it is an easy process.

This quarter glass is what I was referring to as having the three holes in it.

Not sure if you have already pulled your glass, but they are not all the same. A lot of sellers advertise 64-5 as the same window. Yours should look like the one here.....

I would recommend trying to find a decent used one with good chrome or you may be creating more of a job than necessary. There are a lot of replacement parts that "fit" supposedly until you are the guy trying to make them work. If yours is a convertible it will be much easier to change as a whole piece.

I ordered all of the glass I needed from Auto Metal Direct and the sash strips from Steele Rubber. Got it all in and adjusted. Life is good.
