Title: 66 4 speed GS restro update
Post by: gs spoken here on April 20, 2018, 07:34:45 AM
Been a long slow winter, but am about done with the under hood. Was able to get the gas tank and fuel system done, the front brakes, and the bumpers installed. In addition to the work under the hood.

Dear Bill, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick fans of beautiful engine bays . . . . :hello2:

Been a long slow winter, but am about done with the under hood. Was able to get the gas tank and fuel system done, the front brakes, and the bumpers installed. In addition to the work under the hood.

WOW!  That engine bay just sparkles!   :angel4:  The air cleaner really is the pièce de résistance!  :love4:

Just one tiny thing.  Don't forget to put on a master brake cylinder!  Otherwise, once you get started, you might have a simply - terrible - time coming to a stop! . . . . Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

I love that car! Nice work, keep the updates coming!

Maybe it's just me (probably), but Nailheads look better in red!

I don't know Walt, red under the hood looks pretty foreign to me.  Says a 65-only guy!   :laughing7:

Dear Walt, Chuck, Jim, and mid-60s Buick owners who "celebrate" Earth day in their own way!  :laughing7:

(http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/wink_smile_triangle.gif) . . . But of course!  What better way to celebrate Earth day than a Nailhead green engine! . . . . . (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/Laughing_LOL.gif)

Nice car. I did see a picture of a blue one on V8. Slow going this fall, getting ready for winter, Did get the widow sweeps and they will fit the wide chrome, have 2 outers and one inner installed and work well will in the quarter window. The quarter windows are difficult to install alone. Loren helped me get the installed, need about 5 hands. Hope to get back on the 66 soon if it does not get to cold. Need to make the side molding clips, for the ones I could not salvage from other cars. Thanks Bill.
