Post by: elagache on April 13, 2018, 09:51:52 PM
Dear mid-60s Buick owners who occasionally get seduced by da' boob tube . . . . (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/tune_in_TV_emoticon.gif)

Mike Tomaszewski (Mr. TA-Performance himself) announced on V-8 Buick that TA-Performance is being featured on one of Stacey's David's Gearz television shows.

It is episode 7 of season 12 and is called "Big bad Buick."  It is being shown tomorrow on the Velocity channel.  Here is the schedule page, although you'll have to do some clicking to access the show:

It appears to premiere at 8 am EDT with further showings throughout the day.  Alas the patient for the surgery is a 1972 Riveria but I'm sure we can still get a lot out of the show.  So if you can, tune in!    (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/tune_in_TV_emoticon.gif)

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/wink.gif) I dunno' about this "big bad Buick" stuff. . . . . . My Buick is a perfect angel! . . . . That's great. I'm glad to see another TV build. I never posted it but Rob Chilenski Stage 1 Automotive NJ did an engine build a year or two on Power Nation TV's Engine power. (Season 3, Episode 17). So for your viewing pleasure I've included a link. (Hope it works..)

Dear Jerry and mid-60s Buick lovers who like automotive related TV,

That's great. I'm glad to see another TV build. I never posted it but Rob Chilenski Stage 1 Automotive NJ did an engine build a year or two on Power Nation TV's Engine power. (Season 3, Episode 17). So for your viewing pleasure I've included a link. (Hope it works..)

That show looks a lot more interesting than the Gearz episode featuring TA-Performance parts.  However, something like this I would much prefer to view on our big-screen TV and thus far I haven't managed to grab that video so I could do that.  I'll keep trying.

I was really disappointed by the Stacey David's show.  I did learn something useful - how to pronounce Mike Tomaszewski last name!  However, it was a really weak and glossy overview of how you would upgrade a Buick big-block.  The premise was that a newbie could make this sort of swap in a weekend.  That would contradict TA-Performance's own installation instructions.  Tightening the head bolts is a 3 day process just by itself.  They didn't even show the engine running with all the upgraded parts.  I hope it does help TA-Performance, but a honest and complete demonstration of the upgrade process would have been a much better demonstration of the quality of TA-Performance products.

Oh well, . . . . . . .

Dear mid-60s Buick lovers who like automotive related TV,

I do not get Velocity TV anymore so I was not able to watch the show today. I'm glad you found the Power Nation with Rob to be a good watch. What you saw was 100% on the level. One of my dear high school buddies, Jim Campisano, was the executive producer for Power Nation TV when that was shot and aired. And Rob, is a long time friend from the NE GSCA. I used to work for him at Stage 1 Automotive. That engine now resides in his 72 GS Stage 1 street car. And yes Rob has build a few Nailheads in his day!
