Title: Hello from Central Virginia
Post by: moteaux on March 10, 2018, 09:44:15 PM
Hello 65 GS,

I am a 65 GS owner again and new to this forum. I sold my first 65GS in 1996 and have been wanting another one ever since.  I am at peace again.  Thank you to my new friend, Vinnie on this forum, for his advice during the research phase of this buying process.

I tried multiple times to upload pictures to this post, but was unsuccessful.  So here is a brief summary: I picked up the white 65GS posted on this forum by 1965 GS. It has 2x4’s, and the frame and body are in great shape.  The car came with the 1965 owners manual, matching protector-o-plate, warranty book, and 65 accessories book. The only option the car had from the factory, according to the ID Tag and matching proctect-o-plate, was the GS option (S).

This forum was absolutely invaluable during the buying process.  Thank you to all for contributing to this forum and providing me with the information and confidence to own a 65GS again.

Moteaux

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum!
The car you purchased was located near me. I met the owner a few months ago but he didn't have the GS with him. I should have some pics tho.
Good to have you on board!

Another welcome from Northwest Ohio. Glad to be able to talk to you and answer some questions you had prior to the purchase. Kevin is correct, matching cars except yours has got air. Looking forward to parking them side by side somewhere's down the road.

Welcome to the Forum!  Glad to hear there is someone else with a 65 close to my neck of the woods!  I grew up in Roanoke and my family all still lives in the Bedford area.  Where in Central VA are you located?
Title: How did you try to upload pictures? (Re: Hello from Central Virginia)

Dear Moteaux and mid-60s Buick owners who are frequently frustrated by computer technology,

I tried multiple times to upload pictures to this post, but was unsuccessful.
. . . .

Sorry to hear about your troubles uploading pictures.  Are these pictures taken with a camera or a smart phone?

If you have a PC, you might try following the instructions on these two threads:

http://65gs.com/board/index.php?topic=3883.0 (http://65gs.com/board/index.php?topic=3883.0)

http://65gs.com/board/index.php?topic=3884.0 (http://65gs.com/board/index.php?topic=3884.0)

The most common problem with uploading pictures to 65GS.com is that they are too large and need to be scaled to something that can be more easily displayed.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Thank you, Edouard.  Reducing the size of the pictures did the trick.

Dear Moteaux, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick caregivers, . . .

Thank you, Edouard.  Reducing the size of the pictures did the trick.

You are welcome!  :hello2:

I was more than happy to find these originals in the glove box.

(http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/wink_smile_triangle.gif) . . .  Never mind that!  I see that you have in the glove compartment the 1965 Buick engineered accessories catalog.  I also have one of these catalogs.  So have you figured out how we can order some of these items?!??  It appears that Buick isn't stocking these items anymore . . . . . I really don't understand why - I still have the car! . . . . (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/Laughing_LOL.gif)
