Title: 1965 steering column from chevy same as Buick?
Post by: Robert V on February 27, 2018, 07:00:22 AM
Hello,
Checking if a 1965 floor shift (automatic) steering column from Malibu/Chevelle will fit my 1965 column shift Skylark.

Are there any fitment issues or electrical wiring concerns. Are floor shift auto columns different than manual transmission columns

Opportunity to purchase for possible future "4 speed" conversion for my skylark.
Thanks,
Robert

Chevy column is different, but the 64-65 Pontiac column is the same.

Thanks,
If the column is not correct I don't want to create new problems.

Hi Robert,

If you are looking for a column for a floor shift automatic, I have one available from a 65 GS parts car.  PM if interested.
