Post by: gssizzler on January 08, 2018, 05:27:31 AM
I can't find my bolts! Can anyone measure up a few of these ! I know they are course tread but memory fails me to hex size and length! Thanks!

They are 3/8" bolts, coarse thread, and if I remember correctly, they are between the standard sizes of 1-1/4" and 1-1/2".

Do yourself a favor and use stainless steel bolts. Not original, but they don't rust like steel bolts. Be sure to use anti seize compound on the threads when you put the bolts in.  Use it whether you use stainless or regular steel.  Also a good idea to recheck torque on the exhaust manifold bolts after running the engine for a few hours.

Dear good professor and mid-60s Buick fans of shine!

Do yourself a favor and use stainless steel bolts. Not original, but they don't rust like steel bolts.

Don't you want an engine bay that is so shiny you cannot look inside without wearing dark sunglasses!! . . .  :glasses9: . . . . .  (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/Laughing_LOL.gif)
